Ashley and Simon were introduced to each other by their mutual friend Lauren while they were still in high school. If you do the math, that was over 14 years ago. They were practically children.
They went to Ashley's senior prom together, dressed like nerds.
Ashley attended Paul Smith's College.

Ashley and Simon finally found the opportunity to move in together in Albuquerque, NM. If you do that math, that was 10 years into their relationship.
Ashley and Simon adopted a crested gecko, Angus MacGyver (Ango).
Ashley graduated with her master's degree in summer 2024.

Ashley and Simon moved back to upstate New York to be near family and live where it feels like home.

When it turned out that domestic partnership (we were the first domestic partners in Onondaga County!) doesn't actually confer health insurance benefits, Ashley and Simon got legally married. Please don't be offended that you weren't invited. We barely invited our parents.
If you do the math again, one last time, that is 13 years after going to prom together.

Ashley and Simon (still legally married) have started to settle in and put down roots. They feel prepared for whatever joys, sorrows, and adventures life holds in store for them, because they will expereince them together.
